Resources

Here you can find our resources to give you a better service.

1. TRANSITION INTO THE CLASSROOM

The majority of kids that have never been in a group care can have a hard time initially adjusting to the transition from parent to teacher. It usually takes 2 weeks for your child to built a bond to staff caring for them.

2. REST TIME

The center will provide each child with an assigned sleeping mat, bed or crib. Parents are required to provide a child size blanket and sheet.

3. BREAKFAST-SNACKS- LUNCH

All children that are enrolled at Together Time participate in the USDA Child Care Food Program (CCFP). The CCFP is administered in Florida by the Department of Health and is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture.

Our center must provide meals to all our children including infants that meet Child Care Food Program requirements. Together Time must ensure that each meal served to children contains, at a minimum, each of the food components in the amounts indicated for the appropriate age group as stated in the CCFP Meal Pattern for Children.

Parents of children requiring special diets needs to speak with the director in order to provide the needs for the child. There is a Nutritional Agreement you have to sign.

4. ALLERGY PRECAUTIONS

If a parent notifies Together Time of any allergies to food, or any other kind of allergies, written documentation signed by the child’s parent is required, specifying the name of the food or other. The information will be posted in the kitchen, playground and in the room where the child is in care. SPECIAL RESTRICTIONS TO ANY FOOD MUST BE DISCLOSED AT THE TIME OF ENROLLMENT.  A doctor note must accompany food allergies. Substitutions are made with same nutritional value

5. STAFFING

ALL STAFF MEMBERS have been screened through Child Care Licensing and have completed several law enforcement background checks. Each member is required to have a 30-hour training class and a special 10 hour module in age appropriate learning techniques. We require all staff to take the Pediatrics First Aid and CPR.

Each year we require 12 hours of in-service training from all our teachers. Staff is given opportunities to grow professionally through a program of in-service training in child development, curriculum and developmentally appropriate practices.
